Southern Gaming Summit announces outstanding conference program for 2007

BILOXI, Miss. (December 20, 2006) — A strong lineup of conference sessions is set to headline the return of the Southern Gaming Summit to Biloxi next May, scheduled for May 9-10, 2007, at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center. The event will be a significant milestone in the recovery and rebirth of the Gulf Coast gaming market after the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Southern Gaming Summit opens with a welcome reception the evening of May 8, 2007, and is followed by two days of conference sessions, trade show activities with over 300 exhibit booths, and the gala Taste of the South.

“The 2007 Southern Gaming Summit will provide an exceptional series of dedicated conference topics that will go well beyond typical conference programs,” said Beverly Martin, Executive Director of the Mississippi Casino Operators Association, producer of the Summit along with Ascend Media Gaming Group.

Several multi-session conference tracks will provide attendees with in-depth information and discussion of specific topics, including Recovery and Rebirth, Slot Manager Institute, Tribal Gaming and Gaming Law, co-presented by the International Masters of Gaming Law.

Recovery and Rebirth sessions will examine how the Mississippi and Louisiana Gulf Coast markets are making tremendous progress in the wake of Katrina. Session topics include an economic overview, a look at the Southern labor market, a resort development update, and a view from the investment community.

Slot Manager magazine will present Slot Manager Institute, a series of sessions discussing current issues in the gaming machine market. Topics include server-based gaming, cashless gaming, business intelligence and hot slot trends.

Tribal gaming sessions include an update on the Southern region and a discussion of off-reservation gaming.

The International Masters of Gaming Law, a trade association of gaming attorneys, regulators and executives, will present several sessions dedicated to discussions of gaming law.

Additional sessions are scheduled outside these specific conference tracks, and include topics such as table games and responsible gambling.

The Southern Gaming Summit is the largest gaming trade show held outside of Las Vegas, and provides an unmatched local voice for the industry. For up-to-date information, please visit www.sgsummit.com.
